The Adamawa State police command apprehended 47year old suspect for sexually assaulting a 9 year old girl .
The suspect Alphonsus Peter 47 years old, a resident of Demsawo,Yola Noth
took advantage of his neighbor’s absent and lured their 9 year old daughter into his room where he sexually assaulted her.
The command in a statement signed by its public relations officer, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje the cry of the victim attracted the attention of a good samaritan which resulted to his arrest by the Police attached to Doubeli Division .
Investigations so far revealed that the suspect is a father of six and a neighbor to the victim’s parent
According to the statement that the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, ps while commending DPO Doubeli and the good samaritans for exposing and making it impossible for criminal of such to escape arrest , equally directs further investigations into the case .
Meanwhile, as part of efforts at tackling Criminal activities and other related offences in the state, Aliyu is working in concert to deepen intelligence and strengthen security in the State directed all DPOs to go after these criminals everywhere within the State, equally calls on people to always report any suspicious movement around their neighborhoods to police.
