Lamurde bye-election: Nzonzon standing tall for APC as the winning party

The last Saturday bye-election of Lamurde Ward necessitated by the demised of the elected councilor last year has shown a pointer that the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state are gagging and guarding their eggs which they have placed in one Basket.

To the APC family is a success towing down and up for a preparation of the coming future elections be it tail or head. Lamurde is a home for the party haven Men of political ability as people for the grassroots.

Honourable Vrati Nzonzon, the former council Chairman of Lamurde Local Government was on Saturday reported Man of the moment and Iroko tree whose prowess to return an APC Man as councillor in the concluded Saturday bye election is a departed glory returning home.

Nzonzo has displayed and proven that he remains a Camel’s back that the Almighty PDP in power could not break because he has worked, rallied around his people to build another trust of confidence with a hope to reclaim back the area for the party.

A Student of politics have envisaged that the Lamurde Bye-Election is a litmus test and a forecast for the coming 2023 General Elections.

He revealed that the people of Lamurde seems to be wane up with the ruling party,if by this time they have failed to return elected their party member despite having power, resources and the good will to do that.

An observer of political happenings in Adamawa state, Raymond David said there are obvious reasons for political beef between the PDP senior stakeholders that might have resulted to a not suppose failure of not winning the councillorship election.

According to him, it is not just ordinary and never a good omen for the likes of Deputy Governor, Crowther Seth who is from the area, a House of Representatives member, Kwamoti Lori, a kinsman from that zone, the Lamurde Local Government Chairman, the commissioner, SA’s, advisers and all the PDP massive supporters to lose an ordinary ward election.

He observed that the history established last Saturday is going to be a major yardstick of judgment as the 2023 political intrigues are fast approaching.

Raymond also said the pointer to the right is to position APC as an undying political party that can beat the imagination of many if they go by a simple unity of the party’s majority. And a pointer to the left is suggesting that PDP despite its power, the stakeholders it got in Lamurde will serve as a serious signal to put its house in order, else a change in power is anticipated without recourse to much struggles.

He however said Vrati in the order hands should be seen as APC sacrificial lamb whose fate was only caged in his heart and the people he once served that believed in him. He played the magic role of a lone ranger for the overall interest of the larger APC family.

“Vrati stood for APC not because he was given the party backing, not because he was empowered to defend the party, but because he is a party man and grassroots for that matter.

” APC is in disarray to the extent that the unity of the party is second to none at the moment. At this point there are elements of doubts, fear from Party members, still struggling to survive from the shock of the 2019 elections’ massive losses.

“However Nzonzon has brought out the hidden beauty in APC, he has shown that he is a political Lion with a single faith of winning ability that’s what makes him a pillar from the last Saturday election.

” If all politics are local, then APC in the last Saturday’s election of Lamurde Ward have localized and domicile their party broom in every House in Adamawa, i see them coming back again with full force, panting like a hungry Lions to dive down it target prey.

“If APC can cast away perceive shifting blames, ignore the tendencies of hate and internal combustion of members divergence interest, they will be something else come 2023 judging from the outcome of last Saturday’s bye-election.
