A grassroots politician and ardent follower of people’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs Mamu Sale has donated thirty beds, thirty mattresses, drip stands and screens to Kala’a, Garaha and Bangshika Primary Health Cares Centers (PHC) area of Hong local of Adamawa state.
Mamu who is a well known grassroots mobilizer haven been a two term supervisory councillor from Hong Local Government said she want to key into the Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led government of fresh air to the people of Adamawa state for improved health Life styles for all people in the state.
Mamu toured three communities with a passion to revamp the primary health care services because of the dilipidated state of the physical infrastructures of the clinics.
While presenting the equipments in Garaha, the woman philanthropist called the attention of well meaning individuals to invest in human, taken health sector as one area that have ripple effect and driving force of economy.
According to her it is a people with good health that can produce a healthy society and in turn boost the state’s economy.
“It’s when we are healthy we can farm and school better, as the adage said ” health is wealth” without it nothing will invariably work well in this country.
“We have wealthy people in this local government that can be able to bring a world class hospital with state of the art facilities to fight against common diseases like malaria, typhoid and many others still killing our people indiscriminately.” She said
While appreciating the presence of top government personalities for honoring her invitation, she thanked Governor Ahmadu’s vision of a new Adamawa which is make sure every sector of the state’s economy is working well for the overall interest of all people.
Many who attended the gesture done by Mrs Sale praised her human nature of showing love to people in the grassroots to have access to quality health services.
commissioner of commerce and industry, Honourable Justina Nkwom, officials from Ministry of Health, Representativen of UNICEF, Traditional and religious leaders to include District Head of Kulliyi and Garaha thanked her for the wonderful idea to rescue the PHC which lacks many equipment.
A Youth leader of Kulliyi Amos Gabriel extolled the efforts of Sale and called on Governor Ahmadu to work closely with her because she is working behind the scenes in the interest of his government.
“Look at how this woman came to our help and I’m sure is without the knowledge of the Governor but all she kept on saying she is supporting the present government in her own little way to serve humanity.
“This is not the first, second, she has been doing this kind of gestures in many different ways to our people in Hong, I think she deserve a special recognition by the Fintiri led government.
” Our clinics now are furnished with equipment that will improve the services of the workers. Thank you Ma, only God will bless you in manifolds ways.” Amos said
