Lifeway Church International Jimeta, Yola Adamawa State, Rev Fibiya Penuel said the high level of insecurity experiencing in many parts of the country is the work of the enemies (Devils) Poisoning the system to make Nigerians hate themselves.
Penuel in her Sunday Sermon revealed that the evils going on cannot be stopped with vengeance of evil minds repaying evil done.
She said an act of goodness turns away anger and when a Christian does good to an enemy,he breaks the hallow of wickedness in the heart of that evil Man.
Taken her root Bible text from the book of Acts10:38 where it stated: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
She enjoined Believers to be Christ-Like exemplary by doing good all the time and any where they find themselves because they are anointed to do it at all cost.
The articulated women of God also said that an act of goodness by a Christian should be the reason why calamity will be averted when they show to a non-Christian how good they are.
In the Sunday message she tagged:” You have been anointed to do good”, Mrs. Fiyabina charged the congregation not to miss an opportunity to do good because that will Make their accusers to be ashame of themselves.
She encouraged believers that when they show the act of goodness they are raising an altar for themselves and for God to be honored through their life.
She said God is interested in their good works not in taking vengeance on themselves, reading 1Peter 2:12 to remind them it’s their act of kindness that God is watching to see to their fellow humans.
While reading 1peter 2:12 which says: “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.” Penuel said When You do good you prolong your days.
According to her whenever a believer is killed in the name of he or she is a Christian her prayer remains that let her receive harvests of souls for the sake of the blood of that believer that was killed.
“Doing good is sowing a seed which a believer that always do will certainly reap greater harvest, Gal 5:9 says Let us not be weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Do good unto all Men so God heaven will be glorified ” Fiyabina said
The Church at Kofare Zone 3, opposite Faro Junction, behind Adamawa Plast Along with Migela Hotel, is known to have a vision of helping people discover their purpose in life through reading, hearing, and acting on the word of God.
She warned that Christians should shun the attitude of paying evil with evil but repay evil with goodness because the enemies are poisoning the system to plunder the country into serious trouble.
She however said in as much as the Bible said wisdom is profitable to direct, prayers will be able to guide and direct believers in all things they do.
