Adamawa police arrest 2 pastors for alleged adultery, threat to life, abortion, criminal trespass

A Pastor of Liberty International Gospel Centre, Ebenezer Otueke Otinjele and Pastor of Encouragement Fellowship International, Juliana Eli Daniel have been arrested over alleged adultery, causing abortion, criminal trespass and threat to life in Yola, Adamawa state capital.

Confirming the development, the image maker of Adamawa State police command DSP Sulaiman Nguroje said their arrest was sequel to a petition by one Barr. Sule J Abdul, a counsel to Mrs Juliana’s husband, Mr Eli Daniel.

The petition with Reference Number SJA/SRL/VI/21/1 dated 7th January, 2021 alleged “acts of abatement conspiracy, causing abortion, criminal trespass, adultery and threat to life contrary to sections 49,61,203,339, 374 and 383 (2) of Adamawa state Penal Code Law perpetrated by Ebenezer Otueke and Juliana Eli Daniel”.

Reports indicated that the two pastors were apprehended in the early hours of Tuesday and are currently in police custody at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Yola, where they are being investigated in connection to the allegations.

The suspects, Ebenezer is the Pastor of Liberty Gospel Centre behind Yola Police barracks, while Juliana is an active Minister of Gospel at the Encouragement Fellowship Centre located at Hayin Gada along Yola-Girei road.

Juliana Eli, is a staff of Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) who works directly under Pastor Ebenezer, the company’s Business Manager in Yola where they started their extra marital affairs.

Pastor Ebenezer was alleged to have been having extra marital affairs with the Pastoress and wife of the Staff of Federal Ministry of Power, Abuja, Mr. Eli Daniel for 4 years which led to the conception and bearing of 2 children with other pregnancy aborted.

TGNEWS could not verify whether DNA tests are carried out to ascertain who the father of the children was.

A news story by an online news medium, NEWS PLATFORM revealed that Juliana and Daniel got married on 6th April, 2002 at the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) headquarters in Numan and had 5 children including the 2 currently under dispute.

Sources revealed that Mr. Daniel secured a job for his wife, Juliana in early 2016 where she was posted to Yola Business unit and later deployed to work in the office of the Business Manager, Pastor Ebenezer.

Mr Daniel who works in Abuja, has decided to leave the wife and the children in Yola considering the proximity of her office, and that he was visiting them from time to time.

Reports indicated that after her deployment to the office of the Business Manager, they allegedly started having sexual affairs to the extent of committing such act in her matrimonial home at Mbamba.

Sources say they go to the house when the children have gone to school, while they sometimes send the children on errands so as to have space of time.
The Pastor was also alleged to have taken Eli’s wife to Jalingo for weekend on 15th September, 2016 where she left her male child she had for Eli with a 12 year old house maid and that the child later fell sick and died suddenly in her absence.

It was further learnt that anytime the husband visits them, she pretends to be caring, loving and monitors him closely, and does not allow him to go outside alone so that he should not be informed about what she does whenever he left for Abuja.
