We’ll only regulate, not shut down social media — Lai Mohammed

Federal Government says it has no plan to shut down the internet or social media.

Rather, it said it would only work with stakeholders to regulate social media.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, stated this during a press conference on CNN report on the recent #EndSARS protests in Abuja.

Mohammed observed that social media was used wrongly to cause mayhem in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protest.
