Former Adamawa lawmaker dumps APC,join PDP,says Fintiri’s developmental strides attracted

Former member representing Mayo Belwa Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly Alhaji Musa Mahmud kallamu has dumped the All Progressives Congress APC and formally registered with Peoples Democratic Party PDP from ward level.

Speaking while receiving the membership card of the PDP at his Mbilla ward in Mayo Belwa Local Government Saturday Musa Kallamu said his defection followed wide consultation with supporters and major stakeholders in the area.

He added that, he joined the Peoples Democratic Party was due the people-oriented projects executed across Adamawa State by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Finitiri.

Musa Kallamu pledged to accord full support and called on his members to support the Fintiri led Government to enable it deliver more dividend of democracy to the people of the State.

In his address the Council Chairman Mayo Belwa local government Mr Gershon Kasuwa expressed delight with receiving the former lawmaker and promised him equal opportunity.

On his part, the Commissioner of environment Alhaji Shuaibu Audu congratulated PDP members for receiving kallamu and called him to ask his supporters to register with the PDP as well.

Presenting the PDP membership card to the former lawmaker, the PDP chairman Mbilla ward Alhaji Badamasi sulaiman assured kallamu and his supporters equal treatment.

He said joining the PDP by Musa Kallamu is a clear indication that, the present administration is meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate urging him to contribute his wealth of experience towards the development of the party.

The lawmaker was accompanied by hundreds of his supporters to government lodge of Mayo Belwa where he registered.
