Fresh violence erupts in Lekki, Magodo, Oshodi as hoodlums engage police in shoot-out

…as hoodlums attack TVC, set ablaze BRT buses in Oshodi

Fresh violence erupted on Wednesday morning as angry youths confronted policemen at the Lekki and Oshodi areas of Lagos State.

Throughout the night and up till this morning, gunshots rented the air at Lekki following the Tuesday night’s killing of #EndSARS protesters and injuring of many at the Lekki toll gate by soldiers.

Following the killings at Lekki, suspected hoodlums invaded the Lekki Phase 1 area, razing three of the commercial banks located along Admiralty Way.

Along the Oniru Market Road, Lekki, Lagos, youths armed with sticks and other missiles, confronted armed policemen. Gunshots were fired by the police to disperse them.

At Magodo, youths protesting along the popular CMD road barricaded the road and were said to have later besieged the premises of the popular Television Continental (TVC), threatening to attack the television station they alleged belonged to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

At Oshodi, suspected hoodlums engaged the police and other security agents in a shoot-out.

A number buses BRT parked at the Oshodi terminus were set ablaze by the hoodlums.
