
A staff of Taraba State University has been reportedly brutalized by the officers of the police force in Jalingo.
Narrating his ordeal to newsmen in the state capital, the lecturer name withheld said he went to one of the new generation bank to withdraw money for transportation when a police officer told him to pack well which led to his assault.
According to him, he told the officer that there was no other space than where he parked when another policeman appeared and questions him on why he was arguing with his Superior and began to assault him.
The victim of the police brutality, also explained that they beat him all over until blood began to gush out of his body.
When contacted on telephone, spokesman of Taraba state Police Command, DSP David misal told our correspondent that they are investigating the matter.
This act of brutality by the police, is coming at a time when there have been protests against such acts across the country.
