A relative of the victim who preferred anonymity told our reporter that the slain girl was a student of First Baptist Academy Yola, preparing to resume school on Monday as SS1 pupil.

” Jemima’s mother left her at the shop to attend a nearby event in the neighbourhood only to receive the sad news of her daughter’s death,” the source said.

Adamawa State commissioner of police, Olugbenga Adeyanju has recently warned communities to be extra vigilant while engaging those that will participate in community policung.

The commissioner of police noted that his call became expedient because some of those engaged in community policing are aiding and abetting criminal activities instead of preventing crimes in the society.
