Ondo gov poll: Akeredolu trounces Jegede with over 99,000 votes

Incumbent Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has won a second term, scoring the highest number of votes in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

Akeredolu, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, polled a total of 292,839 votes while Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party garnered 193,585 votes, leaving a margin of 99,254.

Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party, who is also Akeredolu’s estranged deputy, came a distant third with 60,051 votes.
