NUJ urges Elrufai media aides to work closely with journalists in Kaduna

In a Press statement signed by its secretary, comrade Femi Adi of the Kaduna state Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), applauded the Executive Governor of the state,Mallam Nasir Elrufai for Appointing Mallam Ibraheem Musa as his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.

The statement however urged the new appointee and his lieutenants in the Media Department of the Governor to work closely with NUJ Kaduna Council ,especially in media relations and Publicity of government activities.

This is coming when the council appreciates Governor Nasir for considering the chapter for another worthy appointment of its member.

The Council commended El-Rufai for appointing Musa who they believe has the capacity to meet up with the high expectation of public service and desire of Governor El-Rufai to ” Make Kaduna Great Again”.

According to the statement,his appointment and that of Hon. Samuel Aruwan, former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity as Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, are attestations to their hard work and dedication to service

“Ibraheem Musa is a humble and quintessential journalist ,who has over the years demonstrated the ability to work under pressure during his days as Reporter, Bureau Chief and Editor at New Nigerian Newspapers; Daily Trust Newspapers , Blueprint Newspapers , New Telegraph Newspapers and other established media houses .

“While we assure him of our support to succeed , we quite acknowledge that his appointment is a ” Round peg in a round hole”.

“However , we urge the new appointee and his lieutenants in the Media Department of the Governor to work closely with NUJ Kaduna Council ,especially in media relations and Publicity of government activities.” The statement reads
