LCCN Pastor kidnaped in Yola,demands N15m for ransome

A pastor , Ishaku Ayuba, serving with the LCCN church, Badarissa, Girie local govt council area, was early hours of Wednesday kidnapped from his residence within the church premises by armed gunmen numbering over 15 men.

According to family sources, the gunmen invaded the residence of the pastor around 1.30 am, in the early hours of Wednesday.

The source disclosed that the few family members staying with the pastor could not withstand the ferocity of the gunmen and were left wailing.

The source further disclosed the both the LCCN Yola circuit and the family are running round seeking funds to Ransome pastor. Ayuba from his captors.
It is believed that the kidnappers had initially asked for a Ransome of N15million. But when the church authorities pointedly refused to negotiate with the kidnappers,
The family is believed to have raised about N2 million for the Ransome.
However as the time of filling this reports, the fate of the pastor is yet unknown. As the kidnappers are yet to make contact with the church authorities or the family. The Adamawa state police command spokesman, Othman Abubakar, SP, confirmed that the incidence had been reported to the command.

He said the command has commence investigation into the case.
Adamawa state has witnessed a spate of kidnapping cases in the last two years and politically associated cult related violence.

Only last week 9 suspected kidnappers were killed in a shoot out with the anti.kidnap unit of the police command.
The tension, fear, and apprehension over kidnapping and cult related violence has totally restricted movement of Jimeta residents.
