The People of Gude in Mubi South Local Government Area of Adamawa state have been called to tolerate one another and live in peace and harmony in order to move the area forward.
The District Head of Gude Alhaji Sali Bello who made the appeal during the 2019 Annual Cultural day celebration of District development and cultural association held at Gella .
Alhaji Sali Bello had advised youths in the area to seek both western and Religious education and solicited the wealthy individuals to support the youths with scholarship in order to motivate them to acquire knowledge and skills.
The District Head described education as the bedrock for any development in the society.
He also Condemned the rampant kidnapping in the area and urged the security agents to redouble their efforts in the fight against menace in the area and well as other places in the state .
In his remarks, the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh who is also the Guest speaker at the ceremony calls for unity and cooperation among the Gude Community , noted that no society would be developed without Unity and Peaceful Coexistence.
The Information Commissioner who was represented by the General Manager of the Scope News paper Alhaji Jouro Saleh Buba had applauded the mission and Vision of the Association and urged the stakeholders to always take the interest of Gude cultural association very paramount.
While declaring the event open,the Chairman of the occasion Honourable Abubakar Mahmud Wambai who was also represented by Alhaji Abdul Kadir Jakada education on the Gude Community to promote the progress and Development of the community at all times .
.He said that the main objectives of the association is to promote peace and Unity among indigenes of Gude District for meaningful development as well as to assist in creating awareness on the effects of crime and drug abuse among youths and to uplift the cultural heritage of the District.
He also explained that educational advancement, provision of accessible primary health care facilities as well as enabling environment through which indigenes of the area can actualized their life objectives.
The also appreciated the entire membership of Gude District and cultural association and to all those who contributed in one way or the other for the success of the association.
