9th Assembly: APGA, AA, Some PDP Members Endorses Gbajabiamila For Speaker

The ambition of Majority leader, House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila to become speaker of 9th Assembly received boost on Sunday as APGA, Action Alliance Party and some PDP Representatives elect pledge their support for him.

They stated this on Sunday during the formal declaration by Gbajabiamila for the House Speaker at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

In his address, Hon Oluwole Oke representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency said Femi Gbajabiamila is the most competent man for the job.

According to Oke, We are giving you our BEST in South West in Hon Femi Gbajabiamila for Speaker. He is the MOST QUALIFIED.

Hon Cosmos Obi (IMO State) who spoke on behalf of Action Alliance Lawmakers elect said they are supporting the majority leader on merit.

Similarly, a member of the House of Representatives from Kano state and Chairman, House Committee on Transport, Abdulmumin Jibrin has said Femi Gbajabiamila remains the best qualified candidate for the House Speaker in the incoming 9th Assembly.

The Director-General of Femi Gbajabiamila Speakership Campaign Organization, added that the Lagos lawmaker has accumulated enough legislative experience that stands him out among other contenders.

“He is the best candidate because when you have him, you consider the job done. He will also ensure the independence of the legislature,” Jibrin said.
