Case hearing between MRDD vs INEC slated for Wednesday


Justice Abdulaziz Waziri of Adamawa state High court,Yola,who is Presiding over the case between MRDD vs INEC for non inclusion of party’s logo on the past governorship election ballot paper has slated Wednesday (tomorrow) twenty-seven March for hearing.

Waziri in his Tuesday Judgment ruled that he vacated his earlier order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC from conducting the Governorship Supplementary election in the state.

The court has also ruled that it has the jurisdiction to adjudicate on the case filed before it by the political party Movement for the Restoration and Defence of Democracy MRDD against the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

The Wednesday hearing will be argued the originating motion by MRDD asking the court to nullify the Adamawa Governorship election conducted on nine march alleging that INEC has removed the logo of the party during the election.
