Let INEC accept its mistakes,i presented to them Rashida as my deputy-Eric


The ongoing court case filed at the Adamawa state high court by the Movement for the restoration and defence of democracy (MRDD) continue to trails the political scene of Adamawa state.

A court case filed by Rev Eric Theman Dollars seeking for court injunction to restrain INEC from conducting the scheduled supplementary election because of non inclusion of his party logo.

Eric who is the gubernatorial candidate of MRDD party in an interview with our reporter cautioned the independent national electoral commission, INEC, to accept the gross mistake they have done of not including the logo of his Party in the last 9th March,2019 governorship election, and organize another fresh election in the entire state.

He shed more light in his legibility and authenticity of being a certified candidate of MRDD that submitted all relevant documents and passed through the necessary INEC scrutiny

He revealed that the commission is aware he presented Rashida Balarebe as his deputy and cannot deny that because is having his records on ground and his facts are intact.

He questioned that how would he have signed the Peace accord without his running mate?

According to him, he has been attended all meetings with INEC and other candidates of other parties and his deputy equally in attendance.

“Anyway I really don’t have much to argue, my facts,evidences and exhibits are with the court,let INEC come and defend themselves that I don’t submit the name of my running mate to them.” Eric

He continue to say that he maintain his ground, he will follow the case to its logical conclusion and is less concern with what others says in the public domain.

” Their noise will never change my believe on what I stand for,as a matter of fact they cannot distract me rather, they are gingering me to fight the more.

“My prayers to court is for a fresh election of the office of the governor of Adamawa state to be conducted where it can properly capture the logo of my party.

“This is my fundamental human right and I can go to any length to fight my right until it is stated otherwise by a competent court of law” He added

Recall that an agency report (NAN) published on the 10th November,2018 indicated that two women were cleared by INEC to run for the position of deputy governor and were; Hadiza Mohammed of Democratic Alternative and Rashida Balarabe of Movement for the Restoration and Defence of Democracy (INEC)
