Journalists in Taraba state have again been cautioned to strictly adhere to the ethics of the pen profession and desist from press singing in order to maintain their integrity in the eyes of the public.

The state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Mr. Jovita Shafe made the call while addressing Members of the union during it’s monthly Congress held at the Press center Jalingo, the state capital.

He also expressed concerned on the condition of Nuj state Secretariat which was unroofed by the previous government of Taraba state but were not able to renovate the place for almost six years, while he appealed to the present administration to assist the union by putting the building back to it’s normal shape as that will help the Journalists operating in the state to carry out their activities effectively.

Mr. Jovita Shafe however called on politicians to always guide and warn their supporters against political thuggery, especially now that the governorship and state houses of Assemblies election is around the corner for the peaceful coexistence of not only the state but the nation at large.
