Vandalization of APC billboards is barbaric, says SGF Mustapha


The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, has condemned how the lead opposition in the February 16 polls finished off its presidential campaign in Yola.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign team stormed the Adamawa State capital where billboards and posters of All Progressives Congress, APC, were vandalized by mobs believed to PDP sympathizers.

Barr. Mustapha described the action the mob action as barbaric and unwarranted, as according to him at this stage opposition party should work hard to negotiate votes from the electorates, display their strength at the polling units as a party but when ahead destroying other people’s properties is an attitude of losers.

He spoke to newsmen in Yola after addressing APC loyalists at Lelewal Hotel in the Jimeta area of the capital.

“It is unfortunate that the opposition party has nothing to offer except instigating crisis. It has simply said it actually has nothing to show at the polling units on February 16.

“Once someone is losing his vigour in politics, he or she behaves this way. PDP is actually losing out of the game,” Boss said.

The gathering was mostly APC faithfuls from Yola North and Yola South LGAs, the areas are President Muhammadu Buhari polled his highest number of ballots in Adamawa in 2015. He urged them to double the votes this time around.

The SGF, who hails from Yola North, said the over 140,000 registered voters in the LGA are well preserved to reelect President Buhari on February 16, 2019.
