Senator James Manager allegedly threaten Winners Church Pastor over land disputes

According to information emerging from Ugheli North Local Government, the life of Pastor Emuobo is in danger, due to
land dispute between the Uloho family and senator James Manager.

Speaking to this medium, a reliable source who does not want his name mentioned said “the children of late Chief Deruviesa Governor Uloho have dragged senator James Manager to court in contention over landed property and Pastor Emuobo has been receiving threats commanding him to drop the case or he would would not be alive to regret it” Our investigation revealed that Pastor Emuobo and Mrs Akponiye Emily (nee Uloho) on behalf of themselves and
Uloho family of Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State the Ulohos dragged Senator James Manager to the Effurun High Court presided by justice E.I Oritsejafor for
allegedly trespassing about 20.80 acres of their father’s land situated at Ogbe Avenue Off Petroleum Training Institute
(P.T.I) Road, Effurun.

They claim that their late father, Chief D.G. Uloho purchased the land from one Chief Johnson Taruno Kodesoh at the rate of €7,000 (Seven thousand pounds) in 1972 who in turn purchased the same land from Uwhe family of Effurun with a
deed of conveyance dated 16th November 1972 and registered as No. 22 at page 22 in volume 165 of lands registry office, Benn city.
They stressed that their father used the land for seasonal crops cultivation yearly till his death, the claimants stated that they later discovered “without the permission of me and my family of D. G Uloho that somebody broke and entered into part of my father’s said land and proceeded to erect a cement fence there on” Pastor Emuobo said.

In suit No EHC/122/16 dated April 14 the claimants averred that all attempts to initially get the person who is behind it
proved abortive. Until recently in 2015 when the claimants were able to discovered the name of the defendant and all attempts to get him to remove the offence were ignored.

“In view of the above situation the children of late Chief Governor Uloho are demanding a total of N300,000,000.00
(Three Hundred Million Naira) only as damages for the alleged trespassing from the defendants who without the consent and permission of the claimants broke and entered the said land and erected a cement fence” and an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendant his servants, agents,
workmen, privies or whoever so called from further trespassing or enter the said land to carry out any work or
project or do any act inconsistence with the rights of the claimants over the said land.

The writ of summons also gives the defendants up to thirty days to appear in the court personally or his lawyer. It stressed that “in default of your so doing the claimant may proceed therein and judgment may be given in your absence”. The writ of summons was issued by Larry Ovwromoh Esq of Larry
Ovwromoh and Associate, legal counsel to the claimant.

Efforts to speak with Senator Manager were unsuccessful. He
did not answer calls to his mobile telephone line. He also did
not respond to a text message sent to him
