Sallah:covid-19,insecurity bedevils our nation- Adamawa Former Speaker enjoins Constituents to pray for Nig


While felicitating with the Executive Governor of Adamawa State,Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the Lamido Adamawa,HRH Dr Aliyu Mustapha Barkindo,the Former Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa, has called on his constituents at the occasion of Eid-el Kabir celebration to pray for the nation’s peace and Unity.

According to him the country has bedevilled down with all forms of insecurity and the world covid-19 pandemic is cropping up the country’s economy.

He called on Muslim ummah to use the Eid-el Kabir period to also pray for sustainable peace, unity, and development of Yola South, Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole.

Kabiru Mijinyawa who is the present member representing Yola South Constituency in the Assembly, made the call in a statement by his Senior Legislative Aid Media and Public Affairs Hon. Hussaini Ahmadu Har made available to Newsmen on Friday.

The lawmaker, while felicitating with Muslims on the Sallah celebrations, stressed the need for them to use the period to strengthen their relationships with one another and those from other faiths, and to support the needy.

He urged the people of Yola South Constituency to embrace peace and unity, irrespective of their differences, as the best instrument for development, he also appealed to them to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols.

The lawmaker also felicitated with the Executive Governor Ahmadu Umaru Finitiri, and members of his Executive council, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly and other Hon. Colleagues His Royal Highness the Lamido Adamawa Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha and other council of Emirs and Chiefs and other critical stakeholders on the occasion of Eid El Kabir
