The immediate past Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has commiserated with the family of late Senator Paul Wampana who passed away in Abuja on Sunday the 10th of May, 2020.
Late Paul Wampana died at the age of 76 after a protracted illness.
In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Press and Media Affairs, Martins Dickson, Senator Bindow described the death of Senator Wampana as a big loss to Adamawa state and the nation at large.
Bindow stated that late Wampana is an accomplished and a respected politician who rose from a military background as a last corporal in the Nigerian Army, vice Principal GDS Maiha and in 1979 became a Speaker Gongola state House of Assembly to Senator Adamawa North Senatorial District, he was also North East Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Junior Minister for Public Health at the federal level and owned the traditional tittle of Zanna Mubi Emirate council.An Astute Business Man, farmer & Family man.
Senator Bindow added that late Senator Wampana is a father and mentor whose virtues and Godly guidance will be greatly missed.
He prayed for the repose of his soul and for God to grant the family of late Wampana the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
