SHEF collaborates with NOA,WHO, UNICEF and AMOH,takes campaign awareness to Adamawa LG against covid-19


A not-for-profit making organization whose objective is serving the needy and giving them hope, Sapphire Health and Education Foundation (SHEF) with National Orientation Agency (NOA), World Health Organisation (WHO), UNICEF and Adamawa State Ministry of Health in a Collaborative Enlightenment has taken awareness campaign on Covid-19 to Hong Local Government area of Adamawa.

The Founder and Chief Operating Officer of SHEF,Hon. Wafarninyi Theman has on Thursday while addressing a group of people reiterated that the organization is after taking care of vunerable and less privileged people in the society,and the covid-19 health threat has attracted their attention to visit the area for awareness.

According to him SHEF is a relief and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty, ill health and injustice by giving them succor, and unconditional love irrespective of religion, race, ethnicity and gender.

“Our advocacy work is done through Public campaign to raise awareness and mobilization, developing education to increase understanding on issues, education and skill sharing to enable the poor undertake advocacy for themselves.” Theman said

Wafarmanyi who on a delegation spoke through the organization’s program officer Comrade Ikur Edmond Hyelandedu said SHEF is also into empowerment programs for Youths through entrepreneurship skills, leadership seminars,workshops and promote positive contribution to social justice, personal integrity , high moral standard and promoting their capacity to work more effectively and independently.

Theman said SHEF has been into sensitization for long,haven visited rural Communities creating awareness on Healthcare and nutrition were carried out by a team of medical professionals within some local governments of Adamawa state,provided drugs and mosquito nets to rural people.

He continue to say that:”Rural Agriculture whereby Sapphire health and education foundation collaborated with Sassakawa a multinational organization from Japan to step down agricultural training in many villages of Hong LGA where more than 600 participants were trained on modern technology in agriculture and were also empowered with inputs free of charge.

“Other projects includes rural water supply where so many hand pump boreholes were drilled in many communities of Hong LGA.”

The organization enlightened the people on covid-19 virus which has became a world threat to human existence, attacking the health of people on an unprecedented manner thereby attacking the Economy of the world because of its negetive effect.

SHEF distributed hundreds dozens of hands sanitizers,nose and mouth masks and emphasized social distancing by staying at home as one of the good clue of avoiding the virus.
