Covid-19:2nd batch of Adamawa students leave Maiduguri t’rrow, Sen Abbo is Confirmed evacuating them-SUG official


The Secretary General of the Students Union Government (SUG) of the University of Maiduguri, Comrade Usman Mohammed confirmed to TGnews that the Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone,Mr Ishaku Abbo has evacuated first batch of the indigenes of the state back to Yola as a result of world coronavirus Pandemic.

Usman through a phone conversation (07067736340) revealed that second batch of the students will leave Maiduguri tomorrow because there is tension in the country to ban inter state travels in order to mitigate the spread of convid-19.

Mohammed who is also an indigene of Adamawa State further confirmed that,Abbo has extended same gesture to Taraba state students who will hopefully leave for Jalingo tomorrow before the total lock down of the State.

According to him the Senator has assured every student getting home safe as a provision of transportation fare is made to finally take them to their respective destinations.

“Let me assure you this Senator Abbo has evacuated our students from yesterday and today,some will also leave tomorrow.

“By ranking I’m the most senior Adamawa State student and SUG Secretary General of the overall University of Maiduguri,I’m a living witness and is through my office that the whole process is taken place.

“There is nothing we can say to the respected Senator,our prayers is for God to keep and sustain him for the sake of the masses.” He Said

You would recall that the Senator took to his Facebook official page appreciating the efforts of HE Prof Babagana Zulum who provided the logistics in evacuating the stranded students.
