The lobby and strategy committee of the All Progressives Congress Aspirants Forum (APCAF) Adamawa State Chapter, says it is seeking robust collaboration and synergy with the State chapter of the party to better the lot of its members and brighten the chances of the party going forward.

Speaking during a courtesy call on the State working committee of the party at the party’s secretariat, the chairman of the Lobby and strategy committee of the forum Hon. Sunday Peter says the committee is pledging its loyalty to the party as it works towards ensuring unity of all members of the forum.

Sunday stressed that the forum has a membership strength of over 500 members.

“Our numerical strength as Aspirants is one of our strengths, moreover all our members are grassroots politicians, we are working tirelessly to ensure that no one leaves the party and we seek collaboration with the state party executive to achieve this”.

He explained that if all members are given a sense of belonging and unity achieved then the party will surely bounce back before the 2023 elections.

Responding, the State Chairman of the party,  Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal welcomed the initiative and applauded the Aspirants for coming up with a forum that is very strong.

Bilal added that the idea is coming at a time when the party needs to retrospect and right all the wrongs that led to the infighting that contributed to its failure at the 2019 general elections.

“Seeing all Aspirants of the party come together has given us hope that APC is strong and will bounce back in Adamawa State”.

Alhaji Bilal said the visit by the group has further strengthen them adding that the party will emerge stronger than ever and attributed the failure of the party to make any headway during the elections to division arising from governorship primary election of the party.

The party chairman promised to work together with the committee and the forum to keep members together and ensure that APC is reckoned with in the state.

Secretary of the party, Mr.  Wafarni Theman while giving a vote of thanks appealed to the forum to remain united and assured that the party will carry them along in the scheme of things considering their loyalty and commitment to the party.
