The National Coordinator, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Special Marshals, Dr Sini Tisti Kwabe has enjoined official of the organisation to embrace the new technology of information and communication Technology (ICT) that is good and effective on road management.
Kwabe made the revelation to Tgnews.com that the new technology is to equip road martials on morderm way of managing road users,to have an effective and efficient daily records of road users.
Sini during a 2019 Sectoral Workshop organized by Lagos State FRSC Special Marshals RS2.1 is confidence of the ICT technology to boost the efficiency of FRSC men on daily duty.
He further opined that everything is changing and the Special Marshals must change with the dynamics of the world in the area of technology.
“Everything is changing but we can only combat with the road menace if we make use of ICT to solve modern challenges,” he said.
On the same vein, Dr Sini commended all Special Marshals for using their hard-earned resources, life and time to serve humanity.
While answering questions on his performance, he said his performances are result-oriented.
“My performance,with the help of my unit coordinators, state coordinators and Zonal coordinators, can show the kind of Special Marshals and leadership we are having now. Between the years I became National Coordinator, several things have changed positively.
“As a person, I have sacrificed my life, family and normal ways of life because of FRSC Special Marshals. It is on record that when I became National Coordinator, there was no official vehicle for the office of National Coordinator. I have to buy a car to function well in the office. No furniture and I have to use my personal money to furnish the office. Now, we have brought back the confidence of Special Marshals in the country.
“I am the only National Coordinator of FRSC Special Marshals that has presented an audited account,” Dr Tisti said.
Kwabe listed the decoration of the former president,Goodluck Jonathan, as the grand patron of FRSC Special Marshal in July 2014 as landmark achievement.
The Special Marshal boss thank the Corps Marshal of FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi and his management team for their supports and providing official marked vehicle for the office of National Coordinator of Special Marshals to move around the country to perform his official duties.
For sponsorship and partnership, Kwabe called on professionals and private companies to support the activities of Special Marshals in making Nigerian roads accident-free.
He later applauded the performance of Lagos State Coordinator of FRSC Special Marshals RS2.1, SM Sola Olojede and his executives for repositioning the image of Special Marshals in the state.
Titsi promised that National body will continue to support Lagos State Special Marshals in all their programmes.
