Honourable Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly under the platform of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) have congratulated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, over his reappointment as SGF by President Muhammad Buhari.

However, the lawmakers pledged their 100 percent support and loyalty to the SGF as the leader of APC in the state, President Buhari’s led administration and their party in general.

The Member Representing Shelleng Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Isa, who stated this while leading his colleagues on a courtesy visit on the SGF in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), told the SGF that they were in his office to primarily congratulate him over his reappointment as SGF.

Hon. Isa appreciated President Buhari, for considering the track record of the leader of the party in the state; hence, his reappointment to continue in contributing his quarter towards attracting meaningful development to the state and the nation at large.

But in a telephone chat with one of the APC lawmaker, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak (Verre Constituency) who was among the delegation, said though he was not the one that spoke when they visited SGF, but their visit was to congratulate him and reassure him of their unflinching support and cooperation.

Hon. Yapak said they further reassured him that though it is not their party that is on power in the state, but all APC members are united and confident that the party would bounce back and take it rightful position in the state.

He said the members had informed him that they are making necessary preparations to fully participate in the forthcoming Local Government elections in the state, pointing out that their party is waxing stronger day by day and fully prepared to wrestle power from the ruling PDP.

According to him, APC is not only participating but winning the forthcoming polls in the state so as to enable them continue in providing dividends of democracy to the citizens.

Responding, the SGF, Boss Mustapha, thanked the APC members for their visit and assured them of his necessary support whenever the need arises.

The SGF further assured them of his commitment towards bringing development to the state, urging them work together with other legislators for purpose of enacting laws that would impact positively on the lives of their constituents.
