The Sultanate council Sokoto has urged Muslims to look for the new moon of Ramadan tomorrow Sunday the twenty ninth of Sha’aban 1440 after hijrah.

A statement signed by chairman advisory council on religious affairs at the council Professor Sambo Wali Junaid and made available to newsmen in Sokoto said Sunday shall be the twenty ninth day of sha’aban which is equivalent to the fifth day of May two thousand and nineteen.

TGNEWS can authoritatively report that the statement further advised Muslims to report sighting of the new moon to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to his eminence the Sultan of Sokoto Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
