Elections: LCCN Archbishop calls for fervent prayers in Adamawa

While commending the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, and all-party agents at the collation centres for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner. The Archbishop of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN),Most Rev Panti Filibus Musa, Ph.D, called on all to remain fervent in prayers for peace in the states where governorship election have been declared inclusive.

The senior clergy Man of LCCN congratulate the entire people of Adamawa State for a peaceful conduct before, during and after the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections held on the 9th of March 2019 across all the 21 local government areas of the State.

“The conduct of the people of Adamawa State as observed generally have demonstrated your commitment to authentic democratic culture.
This demonstrates that the people of Adamawa state are peace-loving and law abiding.” He Said

Panti in a press statement issued to journalists in Yola, continue to say that While people in the state awaits the conclusion and outcomes of the elections, he call on them to assume collective responsibility for peace to reign in the state and by extension, in the country.

” I call on all parties and party members to exercise high sense of restraint in making statements or taking actions that may heat up the polity. Let me particularly admonish the youths to stay calm and remain law-abiding at any time during this period.” He added
