APC Campaign rally:Marwa escapes being lynched in Yola


The former Military administrator of Lagos state and a stalwart of All progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state, Gen Buba Marwa (Rtd) escaped been lynched during the Thursday campaign rally of the Party in Yola.

Saidu Naira a former secretary of the Party in the state revealed that Marwa escaped the beating of his life when he was whisked out of the venue of the event by the security operatives of the Villa (Presidency).

According to Naira the former Ambassador of Nigerian to South Africa during the regime of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, attracted the wraths of Adamawa irates youths when he refused to recognized and endorsed Gov Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindo when he Mounted the campaign podium to speak.

Naira revealed that Buba force the MC to break the protocol of the program on ground that he was sent by the first Lady,Hajiya Aisha Buhari to deliver a message for the people of Adamawa state.

He Said the offence of Marwa was his inability to say “Adamawa sai Bindo” all because they fought toes and nails to make sure that Halilu Modi,Younger Brother to the first Lady replaced Bindo from being the Governor of the State.

“Marwa is one of the key man playing a major role to stop Bindo from becoming a Governor,pushing the state and the party into a serious political crisis,on given the opportunity to talk he should have use the Chance to call for unity of purpose for the Party to win all coming elections in the state.” He said

The youths who were ranting “Karya ne! Karya ne!! Bama Sonka! Kai muna fiki ne; meaning they don’t like Marwa because of the hatred he has for Bindo.

It was a sort of dramatic displayed before President Muhammadu Buhari deliver his speech of continue good work to the people of Adamawa, Nigeria as a country in all sector if they vote him for the second term amidst cheering ovation.

You could recall that APC primaries in Adamawa state was one of the frustrated one having been marred with a lot of interest coming from all corners,using the direct or indirect Party new policy of primaries to frustrate so many politicians.

Marwa along side Former SGF,Babachir David Lawal, Engr Marcus Gunduri,Mohammed Halilu (Modi) have pitched a political tent against the sitting Governor, Sen Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindo and seems to have vowed never to allow him become the next Governor.

It’s possible the fight of interest is still playing out as it was seen during the campaign rally of the national party working for President Muhammadu Buhari when the train visited Yola last Thursday (Yesterday).
