2019 elections:Sen Bindow signs peace accord, promises rancour-free polls.

The Governor of Adamawa State, Sen Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, has joined other governorship candidates to sign a peace accord which is aimed at ensuring a rancour-free conduct of the 2019 governorship election in Adamawa state.

At a brief ceremony today at the INEC office in Yola, the governor appended his signature on the dotted lines which has layed credence to his unalloyed penchant for peace and unity in Adamawa State.

In an interview with journalists, shortly after the historic event, Sen Jibrilla assured the people of the state a safe and secured environment for peaceful elections.

He admonished politicians to eschew tendencies that are inimical to the ideals of mordern democratic practice.

On political violence the governor said that, “political violence does no one any good, as such i urge our youths to avoid election violence by rejecting financial inducement that can trigger unwanted trouble”.

It would be recalled that Sen Jibrilla was in Abuja for an official engagement when the peace accord was signed by other candidates a forth-night ago
