A former running made of Nuhu Ribadu during the 2015 general elections under the flag of People’s Democracy Party (PDP),Rev Habila Istifanus has attributed his defection to All Progressives Congress (APC) to the pragmatic performance of the Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow.
According to him the good leadership performance of Bindow in delivering dividends of democracy under the APC party to Adamawa people is an indication of the party at all levels is doing well to serve the good people of Nigeria.
Habila who was a former Executive Chairman of Ganye LGA had defected to the ruling party with hundreds of his supporters in Ganye LGA of southern senatorial District of the state said his coming to the party is to support Bindow in his on going mission to salvage the state from the chains of underdevelopment.
“APC is the good party for the common masses,the policy of the party is geared toward having a sustainable development and enduring economy growth.
“I’m defecting with hundreds of my supporters to give solid support to the Governor of our state who is changing the story of the state in few years of his in office.” Habila said
He continued to say that Bindow is indeed a good leader who is having the people at heart to serve them with all humility and his attitude toward issues of governance is one of the major reason of my defection.
The deputy Governor,Engr Martins Nasir Babale attended the ceremony and welcome the defectors to the party said with Istifanus now in the party no single votes will be lost out to any party come 2019 general elections.
Babale described Rev Habila as a political big wig that has hug number of loyalist across the state and is a big catch that the party need to celebrate his defection.
The Chairman of the occasion, Senator Jonathan Zwingina congratulates Habila for joining the winning party and assures him of the party fair play to all party members
The occasion was graced with great political personalities of the senatorial zone, serving members at the National Assembly, serving members at the State House of Assembly, all state party officials and LGAs chairmen.
