The Adamawa State Second Rural Access and Mobility Projects (RAMP-2) under the able leadership of Engr Vwapamkai Paul Bafyau is working all round to consolidate the ongoing roads construction by the executive Governor of the State, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who is networking the entire state with physical infrastructure of roads.
Bafyau, a civil Engineer per excellent, who obtained a Masters Degree of Civil Engineering Technology as far back as 1983 from the Sir Samford Fleming College London,haven being Alumni of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU),the only premier university in the Sub-Sahara Africa.
No wonder Engineer Bafyau is never a neophyte when it comes to Civil Engineering concepts having passed through these great institutions with many years of wealth experience of constructing bridges,complexes,Mulls,Schools,roads,
Storey buildings etc.
Yes indeed this great Engineer of worth is a superficial in always bringing a new innovations the moment he assumed the State’s Coordinator of RAMP-2 in the state, where he launched a campaign of no delay, no compromise to rural roads construction in Adamawa State.
According to him God has placed him in that office to bring immediate change in Communities with onerous access roads who are getting difficult a d finding it not easy to take their farms products to local markets because of lack of good accessible roads.
“My mission is to occluded off roads with bad terrains linking our communities is arable in nature to majors roads that leads to the state’s capital through the steady finance of World Bank and France Government.”
Paul who has seen Bindow’s vision is tender kind to people’s needs,he became obeisance to giving his energy, strength, wisdom and know how to access the opportunities from the donor agencies in order to bring a radical change in the present administration. Is obsequious in nature to might have said :” I will up my life to the cause of God and humanity,to help in making the positive the Governor is pose to cause.
Though Engr Paul Bafyau Vwampai is not the obstreperous type as there are a lots of project implemented under his supervision but were not so much received a publicity that it ought to have received.
Under the leadership of Engr Bafyau Rural access and Mobility Project-2 which is being receiving donor help by the World Bank (WB),French Development Agency (FDA) and Adamawa State Government through its Counterpart funding to rehabilitate, Construct roads in rural communities for boosting of social economy activities of the local people in the state.
RAMP-2 is indeed doing a great work by consolidating and supporting the effort of Adamawa state Government on roads construction,Rehabilitation and maintenance as there are hundreds of communities are being linked up with good access roads in the state.
Lot 1 of the on going work is positively affecting the economy life of the following roads;
1.New Jambutu-Ngolomba- Bogare (8.2km)
2.Njoboli- Njoboliyo Rugange (9.4km)
4.Kwanan Waya-Namtari (4.2km)
The Lot 1road is having the following villages and communities as beneficiaries;Bogare,Ngoromba,Jambutu,Ungwar Mai Rawani. Others are ; Njoboli- Rugange Road: Njoboliyo – River B T,Rugange. Also there is Labondo, Gwakrah – koh – Goron-Borrong Road.Wakawa, Gwagwara, Gari Hatsi, Gbogara Hasey, Yolde, Jikajam,Moron, Mbumara and Bange are all the villages that will be linking up together will run up to 56.4km access roads in the area.
RAMP-2 has equally extended to to Lot 2 of it’s roads project to the following roads currently on work;
1.Mildo-Muduvu-Madagali will be linking up with 14.9km road construction.
2.Kaya-Kuda-Bitiku-Sabon Gari will be having a 17.5km access road.
3. Shuwa-Pallam is another road that will run up to 8.1km.
4. Main RoadKoe-koppa will be receiving a 8.0km access road construction.
5. Bazza-Betso-Mango-Kalikasa-Zah is having 25km road construction.
These roads are having the following communities living along it’s corridor; Kaya, kuda, kubu, Bitiku, Giwamulu and Sabon Gari.
Shuwa, Pallam,Mildo,Muduvu, Yibango, Masawa,Gambaro, Sukur and Madagali are also part of the benefitted communities.
Others are; Bazza,Gwobeshi,Watsila, Shaffa,Mango, Bet so Mango, Saba, Mampe, Gwandum, Kalikasa, Bupa, Karaza,Karasa,Koe and Koppa
Roads in Lots 3 that Ramp 2 will be doing are;
1.New Demsa- Old Demsa-Kodomun-Kwaine (28km)
3. Bille-Gumari-W/Hamawa-H/Bobbo-Gadamayo-M/Belwa (15.5km)
4. Gyawana-Hadiyo-Lamurde (12.8km)
Benefitting Communities along lot 3 are; New Demsa, Old Demsa, Bwashi, Nogare, Kulero 1&2, Sabin pegi, Kodomun ,Pudde and Kwaine.
The roads will also have Kpasham,Kebali, Lawe, Yanga, Bille,Wuro Hamawa,Wuro Bobbo and MayoBelwa.
Others are Gyawana,Pudde,Dubwangu, Goo,Mbemu,Hadiyo and Lamurde.
RAMP-2 is indeed geared toward making sure all Rural communities are having good access roads and this under the adminstration of Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow will support the state in no distance time to change the entire Adamawa state with good policy of ” Bindow for Social Change” (BSC).
Kudos to RAMP-2 as a Total of 201.4km roads is awarded to various communities in different LGAs of the state by the stance effort of Adamawa state Government.
Recently a contract worth $50 Million was awarded by World Bank to constructs/rehabilitates 57.9 km rural road that is linking Labondo in Gerei LGA and Borrong in Demsa LGA respectively.
The Governor of the state, Sen.Umaru Mohammed Jibrila Bindow who flag off the road rehabilitation restated his commitment in bringing people close to government with good policies.
He told the people of Labondo village during the flagging off ceremony of constructing of a 57.4km of phase one of 201km to be constructed and rehabilated by the help of the help of WB and French Government that Adamawa state will provide more than half of the money ($32million) through counterpart funding.
The chief of staff of the state government,Alhaji Abduraham Abba Jimeta added that,there is no excuse for them not to work though their government inherited huge amount of debts incured by the previous goeverment.
“We have finished formal arrangement with Triacta construction company to come Adamawa to settle for bussiness that will last for two years,they will be working on the delibetating roads of Jambutu,Yola town,Batchure and Wurre jebbe”. Abba said
