There has been a Woman who got  her politically prowess in Kaduna state, where she grow strong and became the Iroko tree of women in Politics in the Northern part of Nigeria. She represented the People of Kaduna South in the Federal House of Representative (Green Chambers), during the time when All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) was the strongest opposition in the country (1999).

This same Woman performed some brilliancy style of politics to the people of Michika/Madagali,represented them at the National Assembly in 2007 under the then ruling Party (PDP). Even at then the celebrated Adamawa political celebrity is known to be playing her  Politics at the apex level not minding those tirelessly brought her to power (Grassroot). She is widely refers to by some of her political associates as an “Iron Lady”.

Senator Binta Garba Masi Tumba had a humbly beginning as she was raised by a Military Father (Garba Tumba),a Driver with Nigerian Military in the city of Kaduna,  got the opportunity to be an indigene of Kaduna by virtue of Registration where she is now having duo citizenship.

Binta is now a senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District of Adamawa State, voicing out for 7 most ravaged Boko Haram attacks Local Government in the state.

The radiating shining glory of this advocate of woman gender into politics and a vibrant voice in the red chambers, her name is being transformed to ” Binta the Woman with many first ” : Meaning the First woman to have ever represented two different constituency she hold their indigene letters (Kaduna South and Michika/Madagali), the  first woman to hold a political Party of a state in the country Chairperson, Adamawa State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), the first female State Chairwoman of a
registered major political party in Nigeria .

Her  “First” continue to reads that; She is the First parliamentarian to start poverty alleviation program for the women and Youths in 2003 when she was representing Kaduna South Federal Constituency. In 2009, she was elected as the first Vice President of Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) under
Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) in Cameroon.

She was the only female Senator-Elect in all the 19 Northern States of Nigeria in 2015 election.

She was the only Female  Senator challenge a seating Governor to power ( Bala James Ngilari,)with over 22,000 votes margin and She was the only Female delegate from Adamawa State to the National Conference in Abuja.

Garba also became the First Woman elected into Federal House of Representatives three times (1999 – 2011). [1][2],She further toppled up to be the First woman to be elected a Senator to represent the Northern senatorial zone in Adamawa, the First woman senator to be heading a committee on TETFUND at National Assembly. It’s reads in her CV to be the First woman Politicians to have both a conventional Higher National Diploma (HND) and a Diploma in Theology (Dip.T) and she is in deed the First Woman politician to Profess to be both a Pastor and a Politician.

Good as it might sounds, the Senator has her First to what many regarded as personal First that does not have any Link with her electorate. To others in Adamawa state whatever her First could be that can only mean to herself not to the people she is representing, the people that made her to own those First tittles or name she claims.

One of her loyalist who is regretting to have her as a senator, Comrade Isa Aliyu from Mubi her strong political zone which massively voted her into power Said good as her name, woman of many First, let it also known to the world that she is the First Woman Politician that starts the Politics of “Hit and Run”.
