Adamawa: Sardauna of Jimeta distributes free Ramadan rice to needy people

The Sardauna of Jimeta in Adamawa, Alhaji Mohammed Haladu, on distributes free rice to needy people in Yola

Speaking at the occasion, Haladu said the gesture was in the spirit of Ramadan and to assist the needy to cope with the current hardship in the society.

Haladu urged Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the spirit of giving out to the needy particularly at this period of Ramadan.

“This gesture is in the spirit of ramadan and the need to assist the needy to cope with current hardship in the society.

“This is something I have been doing for the past 13 years and will continue to do as my many contributions to the society.”

Aisha Musa and Buba Mamman who were among the over 1000 needy people that benefitted from the gesture lauded the philanthropist and urged others to emulate him.

“Sardauna has been kind to us, we are happy to be associated with his kindness and urged other wealthy Muslims to emulate him”, Mamman said. ##
